Cute and funny!. This game is awesome from start to finish.Tight controls, funny script, great characters and art, well-tought level design. Pocket Trap did a really good job on this thing here. <3. A wholly unique game that i have the hardest time figuring the genre of, but alot of fun nonetheless. Really shines with a partner, but its a hectic ride either way!. It is as colorful, hectic and silly as it looks. It actually reminds me of sour candy, for some reason (and I do love sour candy). So yeah, this is sour candy in game form. This is my description and I'm sticking with it. I have a few gripes with the game design and accessibility (stamina bar, lack of key binding) and some other things I believe are oversights, but none of that is a big enough issue to be a deal breaker. I say it's worth getting.. I dont know where to start on this amazing hidden indie gem!I'll cover what I enjoy the most to what i least enjoyed. Njinjin: Clash of Carrots, is a very unique experience that rewards high level gameplay knowledge and offers the player with a lot of different strategies. You can complete levels with whatever strategies you want to use mixed with different load outs of weaponry and abilities. Overall the story of the game is very interesting yet funny when the time comes, the game gives me a marioesque feel (plot wise) mixed with an action hack and slash type gameplay style. The one con i have for the game is the difficulty on getting the S rank on a minority of levels (mainly 2 of them for me) even though it is difficult and requires strategization, I thoroughly enjoyed the grind thanks to the amazing content filled in game shop.Take the con with a pinch of salt because not many players will want to grind out only s rank ratings,. its been fun playing the game and it has gotten abit dull. id like to see a workshop for this game perhaps adding custom weapons, hats, playable characters, abilities, weapons, missions, and much more. it would bring back my interest for playing but until then it will just sit there uninstalled. A wholly unique game that i have the hardest time figuring the genre of, but alot of fun nonetheless. Really shines with a partner, but its a hectic ride either way!. This game is very chaotic and all the enemys and character sprites are so cute! 0w0. Just a disclaimer before this review, I *did* receive this game for free on Steam, but I preordered it on another platform immediately after seeing the trailer, which happened weeks before receiving that free copy. That's just how hyped I was for this game!Ninjin is an amazing experience, not to mention an even better co-op experience! I played with a friend online for the entire game, and gearing up and strategizing for each mission together and checking out new items in the shop is very fun to do. The online was incredibly smooth too; I did a delay test, and the delay is the exact same as voice chat so... it's as good as it gets. The characters and art strikes the perfect balance of cute & cool, and if you’re not a fan of pixel art for whatever reason, there’s a surprisingly good smoothing filter! If you’re looking for a fun shmup-like, beat-em-up-like experience that’s even more fun with co-op, even when you want to play with your best friend online, check it out!!
